I wanted to add a new event to our program that holds the secrets to our zoom classes but with a ‘fast and fun’ learning approach in the style of our sewcial events. More specific in subject and content but with a story to tell. An event where theory is put to practice and you can instantly see the excellent results.

I will provide a unique insight to see how this ballgown has been made. By understanding the process, you can easily adapt the same look to an evening gown, cocktail or party dress.

Perfect timing for the upcoming season of fabulosity!!

I have made this ballgown for the dressmaker’s ball. I very rarely have an opportunity these days to make such a dress especially for myself. So, I decided ‘let’s go all in’ while I can.

The dress has basically been designed and made around me. As all our personal requirements are so different. I was able to create a design and choose suitable techniques that work for me. A perfect example… what support do I need? Where do I place the boning to suit my shape? Which areas do I cover up? Where do I drape to flatter. Basically, am I doing the best I possibly can for my style, my size, my age!

I have to say I am loving it, but we are all different. You can easily change some of my choices to suit you. It’s just knowing why, how, where and is it right for the occasion?

On the night I will demonstrate the process by piecing together ‘The Party Dress’ version as this may be more appropriate for Christmas and New Year and next year’s special occasions. But don’t worry I will explain the other designs too!! You may be surprised how similar they are to make! I promise if you can make one of these you can make them all. I shall reveal the formula!
